Established in 2000 by a dedicated family, the estate spans 356 hectares across two farms and is a proud employer of approximately 700 local staff during the peak harvest season.

At Limmu Kossa, a blend of modern farming techniques and deep respect for the environment guides every step of coffee production. The estate is renowned for its use of advanced agroforestry practices, which protect the region’s indigenous forest species and biodiversity. This commitment to environmental stewardship ensures that each cup of coffee offers not only exceptional taste but also a tribute to sustainable agriculture.

Community Engagement and Impact

True to our values at National Parks Coffee, Limmu Kossa is deeply embedded in its community, with significant contributions that include the construction of an 8km dry weather road and the development of three classrooms for the local elementary school. These initiatives help bolster the local infrastructure and support educational opportunities for children in the region.

Through the partnership with Limmu Kossa, we ensure that with every purchase, you are not just enjoying a premium product, but also contributing to the prosperity and sustainability of coffee farming communities. Experience the essence of Ethiopia with every brew and join us in celebrating the rich tapestry of stories behind our coffee.

Flavor

Ethiopia Limmu Kossa is an exquisitely bright and delicate coffee, full of dynamic floral notes, layers of sweetness and balanced citric acidity. Lighter roast styles are vibrant and complex with notes of bergamot, wildflower honey and Meyer lemon with a round body and clean finish. The Limmu Kossa holds up exceptionally well in darker roast styles with an abundance of sweetness, a thick and syrupy body and notes of honeycomb, milk chocolate and sugarplum steal the show. This is a unique and versatile coffee that can be enjoyed in a myriad of ways. We recommend it as a juicy, floral batch brew or as a silky and charismatic shot of espresso.

COLOMBIA

Magia del Campo (NOV 23)

Meyer Lemon, Fruit Leather, Crème Brûlée

Current offerings: Medium Roast

From the rugged mountains of Tolima, Colombia, a new story is emerging—one of resilience, progress, and exceptional coffee. For too long, this region was known more for its struggles than its successes. But through the unwavering efforts of the ASOPEP cooperative, a change is brewing. Against the odds, this group of passionate farmers has transformed their community, cultivating coffee that stands among the best in the world. Their work goes beyond the beans—they’re shaping a future filled with hope and opportunity.

Impact:

Fair Wages for a Sustainable Future

Most of the world’s coffee farmers live below the poverty line, and many are paid prices that fall short of supporting their livelihoods. At National Parks Coffee, we believe in doing better. That’s why this coffee was sourced using a Living Income Pricing model, ensuring farmers earn a fair, sustainable wage. By choosing this coffee, you’re not just enjoying an incredible cup—you’re taking a stand against poverty and helping close the income gap for coffee farmers.

Empowering Communities through Direct Action

We’re committed to making a difference, not just in the cup, but in the communities where our coffee is grown. That’s why a portion of every purchase goes toward the Farmer Impact Fund—a program that empowers farmers to invest directly in their communities and farms. These funds go straight to the producers, giving them the freedom to support projects that matter most to them.

Thanks to the Farmer Impact Fund, the ASOPEP cooperative was able to equip healthcare workers with essential protective gear during the COVID-19 pandemic and launch critical public health initiatives. By supporting this coffee, you’re helping to ensure that these farmers continue to build a brighter future, one that’s as sustainable as it is hopeful.

Flavor

The newest harvest of Colombia Magia del Campo is decadent and layered with a tremendous amount of sweetness and texture across all roast levels. At lighter roast levels this coffee produced a sweet, effervescent acidity reminiscent of Meyer lemon, coupled with a delicate, silky mouthfeel and notes of wildflower honey and toffee. At darker levels the Magia del Campo possessed remarkable sweetness and a balanced acidity, where notes of fruit leather, fudge and crème brûlée prevail. This is a versatile and delectable coffee that will impress in a myriad of different roast levels and brew methods, but the Magia del Campo especially shines as an expressive and juicy shot of espresso or as a rich and caramelly batch brew.
